Tell us about your role here:
My role is varied, encompassing the company accounts, administration, and PA to the directors. I have recently taken on the Business Development side of the business trying to broaden our profile.

How long have you been at BPL?

I started working at Bridges Pound in 2017 as an admin assistant.

Tell us a bit about your background before joining

Before I came to work at BPL, I was working at a non-profit providing accommodation for 18-25 year olds who were experiencing homelessness. I really enjoyed my role there supporting the young people to grow & move towards independence.

What training and development have you had?

Bridges Pound have provided me with the opportunity to get my AAT level 2 and I have managed to develop my role into something I’m happy doing.

How would you describe working here?

No two days are the same, especially with the variety of tasks I have to do. We also have a lovely team, so coming into work is enjoyable and not a chore.

What do you like about what we do?

I think as a company we’re good at playing to people’s strengths and utilising staff’s unique knowledge sets. This combined with a good sense of teamwork means we can provide unique solutions to clients requests.

What’s the best part of working here?

The team. Sounds corny but I actually enjoy coming into the office, I get on well with my colleagues & I enjoy having a varied workload so I don’t feel stagnant in my role.

How do you like to spend your spare time?

If the kids give me a spare 5 minutes then I am a bit of a bookworm, but I also love to play a board game with a glass of wine.
