Client: Willmott Dixon
Scheme: Warwick University
Location: Coventry
Value: £124m
Duration: 32 weeks on site
Scope: 10,000+ sqft
The redevelopment of the Arts Centre was a particularly high-profile scheme for the University and the new building now boasts a range of newly created spaces including three digital auditoria with high-end digital projection and sound, as well as a ground floor gallery to exhibit contemporary art, sculpture and photography. By working closely with our colleagues at Willmott Dixon, who are long-term, trusted partners of the University, we were able to truly understand the overall vision for the campus and provide designs and expert advice to help make it a reality.
Scope of Works
We completed and delivered over 70 designs across the three main sites, ranging from crane mats to fences and all the bits in-between!
Each site had its own challenges, with Warwick Arts in particular having to be done in stages due restrictions on when they could close the Centre for works to be carried out. We conducted multiple site visits during the works to advise on how to mitigate the challenges these sites faced due to it being a working university campus throughout construction.
By working closely with the team from Willmott Dixon we were able to ensure the project’s were delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.
